Community Rules

1. Scope

The only text players show each other on Mentagon is names: the display name and the username. Notes in reports and appeal texts go to the team only. The rules of rated play are in the Fair-Play Policy.

2. Not accepted in names

• Swearing, insults, hate speech, sexual or violent language.
• Passing as someone else, a well-known person or the Mentagon team.
• Personal details such as phone numbers or addresses; advertising and links.

An automated filter in Turkish and English refuses such names; it cannot catch everything, which is why there are reports and moderators too.

3. Reporting

You can report a name you see in the league; the reported player never sees who reported them. We aim to review reports concerning teens within 4 hours and others within 48 hours.

4. Decisions

• A warning.
• The name is reset; if needed, the name cannot change for 7, 30 or 90 days.
• For serious or repeated breaches, the account is closed. A closed account can still see the decision, appeal, download its data and be deleted.

We tell you the reason for every decision.

5. Appeals

You may appeal once, within 14 days of a decision; a moderator who did not make the decision reviews it. If the appeal succeeds, your name comes back, the lock is lifted and your account is opened again.
